Welcome

The River Academy Cooperative (RAC) is a homeschool cooperative group that supports children and families in the Fruit Cove and surrounding areas of Jacksonville, FL. We are a drop off, hybrid program that meets 3 days a week and serves children from Kindergarten to 8th grade.

Parents and teacher tutors working together for a child's SUCCESS!

RAC is a partnership between educators and parents. Parents have the final authority in their child's education and are expected to be the lead teacher. The educators strive to lead with biblical truth and academic excellence to nurture students and empower parents.

Our Whole Child Approach

At RAC we believe in educating the whole child- the head, the hands, and the heart. We believe that nurturing the child through this model encourages the student to engage their head for critical analysis, their hands for practical application, and their heart for emotional and spiritual reflection.

Head...

At RAC, our academic philosophy is to help students develop skills to investigate, problem solve, and make wise decisions. The student will seek to appreciate a wide variety of disciplines of study associated with a strong education as the foundation. This would be characterized by mastery of academic objectives in literature, mathematics, sciences, history, all from a biblical perspective.

Hands...

We understand the importance of hands on learning. Students learn best by doing! From hands on, real world math activities, to reenacting historical events, our students are up and engaged. We are blessed to have a beautiful property to allow for plenty of physical kinesthetic learning experiences. Beginning with our outdoor classroom space where science and messy play take place, to our garden boxes where students will grow crops and reap their harvest, RAC ensures that little hands are always doing.

Heart...

Students at RAC are taught to treat others honorably by demonstrating love, respect, integrity and Godliness towards others. The students will learn to have a servant's heart, exhibit justice and mercy in their relationships, and resolve conflict in a way that is Christ honoring. Students will see us, as educators, strive to be worthy mentors for them as they begin to define their own set of values.

"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season; His leaves will not wither and all that he does prospers."

Psalm 1:3
